“The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction.” ~ Rachel Carson, Biologist/Conservationist
I decided to revisit the processing of this image from last year to fix a few trouble spots and prep it for printing. I think there's an elegant simplicity about it that matches the feelings I have looking up at the stars. It also brings to mind the words of SciFi author Arthur C. Clark: “Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.”
Image info: This is a two image blend, one for the sky at 20 sec (f/2.8, ISO 4000), one for the ground at 50 seconds.
